Patrick Allen Mackenzie

Patrick Mackenzie, age 81, passed away on February 3, 2025. Born on October 19, 1943, in Muskegon, Michigan, Patrick was a man whose love for life was evident in his many hobbies and interests. He was a skilled machine operator and repairman, a talent he took great pride in. Patrick also enjoyed attending classic car shows, often reminiscing about the past while surrounded by cars that sparked fond memories. His love of music, particularly his cherished collection of oldies, was a constant companion in his daily life. Patrick had a special place in his heart for Dairy Queen, where he could often be found savoring a Blizzard. Patrick always enjoyed hunting in the company of his dad, brothers, and son.

Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Sydney Mackenzie and Virginia Billie Mackenzie, as well as his beloved wife, Thelma Mackenzie, and granddaughter, Maia Noelle Shepherd.

 Patrick is survived by his children, Terilynn Shepherd and Patrick Mackenzie Jr., his cherished grandchildren: Rachel Marie Dudley, Andrew Christian Shepherd, Seth Alexander Shepherd, Joel Bartholomew Shepherd, Elizabeth Mackenzie Shepherd, and Noah Benjamin Shepherd.

A memorial service to celebrate Patrick’s life will be held at Cloverville Baptist Church, located at 4345 Heights Ravenna Rd, Fruitport, MI 49415. The gathering will begin at 11:00 AM, with the service starting at 12:00 PM, followed by a lunch at 1:00 PM.

Patrick will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
