Patty Dudley Jeffers age 63, passed away on Friday May 31st at home, with her family by her side. She fought a courageous battle against breast cancer. Patty was born at Ft. Benjamin Harrison on December 4, 1955 to Joseph William Dudley and Shirley Och Dudley.
Patty is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Tom Jeffers and 7 children: Barbara Rimer, Jamie Poulimas Chandler and her husband Eric, Jared Jeffers, Paige Jeffers-Mejia and her husband Ives, Nealon Jeffers, Daphne Jeffers and also Patty’s “adopted” daughter Hannah Nicholson. She had four grandchildren: Ian and Ivy Rimer, and Austin and Nyla Chandler. She had one surviving sister, Cheryl Dudley Schwarz. Patty considered, Manny, Rory and Henry, her dogs, also as family.
Patty was preceded in death by her parents, and sister Beverly Dudley.
Patty graduated from Carmel High School in 1974. Patty was sent from heaven to nurture and love every person she crossed paths with. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, homemaker, caregiver, confidante, chef, and decorator. She was silly and loving. The time she spent while growing up in Massachusetts with her grandparents lead to her love of beach vacations with her family. She loved curling up with a good book, playing games (especially Scrabble), and keeping a neat and orderly home.
There will be a celebration of her life on Friday June 7th, starting at 4pm, at her home (8425 Cheyenne Ct., Indianapolis). Family and friends are welcome.
