Paul E Smith

Paul E Smith, age 75, of Anderson, passed away at his home on November 13, 2020. He was born on January 6, 1945 to the late William Henderson Smith and Ada Mae (Rains) Smith.

Paul was an extremely hard worker, always working to provide for his family. For over 50 years he and his wife owned a commercial cleaning business called Smiths Cleaning. He was a minister for over 30 years, starting Central Community Chapel in Anderson and Pastoring at Riverview CCU. He always put his family first and had a ton of friends. There are many ways to describe Paul, some being humble, non-judgmental, a kidder, and loving. He had many hobbies in life but one being he loved to sit on the dock with his feet in the water while his wife would fish. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife Tina Smith; children David Smith (Beverly), Daniel Smith (Kathy), and Paul Derrick Smith; grandchildren Robert Farley, Angela Smith, Damian Smith, Wayne Anthony Highsmith (Kara) , Brandon Highsmith (Nicole), Kyle Highsmith, Autumn Highsmith (Brandon) and Nicholas Highsmith; great-grandchildren Faith, Scarlett, Christine, Chelsea, Elizabeth, Elliott, Emily, Ethan, Autumn, and Isabella; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents listed above and many siblings.

A visitation will be held on November 20, 2020 from 11am-12pm with a funeral service beginning at 12pm at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service – Anderson. Burial will take place at Maplewood Cemetery.
