Dr. Paul L. Guise, 86, passed away peacefully at home, with family at his side, on May 5, 2021. He was born on January 24, 1935 in Fulton County, IN to the late Wilson and Lucy Guise. Paul graduated from Manchester College and then went on to IU School of Medicine, earning his Medical Degree in 1961.

Paul served as a physician for the Peace Corps in West Africa and for the US Public Health Service on the Navajo Nation in Shiprock, NM. He then returned to Indianapolis in 1965, going into his own private practice, from which he retired in 2019. Paul dedicated his life to caring for his family and patients. In his free time, a true farm boy at heart, he enjoyed gardening, riding horses, antique tractors, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Nina Sanders (Jim). Paul is survived by his loving wife, Suzanne, his children Paul Mark, Todd (Atsuko), Michelle Reed (Paul), Glenn, Cheryl, Julie Breedlove (Ned), Amy, David (Rikje), and Molly Hennon (Todd), his grandchildren Sarah and Maya Guise, Colleen, Rachel, Abigail, and Ryan Reed, Mallory, Brooke, Gweneth, and Lauren Breedlove, Wyatt Guise, and Phoebe and Calvin Hennon, as well as a niece and nephews.

There will be a graveside service at 2:30pm on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Bruce Lake Cemetery, 486 N 1050 W, Kewanna, IN (Fulton Co). Funeral Arrangements provided by Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services – Lawrence.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fulton County Historical Society, 37 E 375 N, Rochester, IN, 46975.
