Paula Lambert, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on October 16, 2024, at Community Hospital Anderson in her hometown of Anderson, Indiana. Born on February 14, 1946, Paula was known for her unwavering devotion to her family and her deep faith in Jesus Christ, which guided her throughout her life.
As a stay-at-home mom and caretaker, Paula always placed her children and grandchildren as her number one priority. Her nurturing spirit and boundless love created a warm and welcoming home, a refuge for all who sought her comfort and support. She had a remarkable ability to connect with people, never meeting a stranger and always willing to lend a helping hand. Paula's infectious love for others left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Paula had a zest for life that extended into her hobbies and interests. She found joy in watching Hallmark movies and court television shows, often delighting in the heartwarming stories and thrilling legal dramas. An avid puzzle enthusiast, she enjoyed tackling crossword puzzles that challenged her mind. Little indulgences like rickers pops and assorted sweets were also her kryptonite, bringing her simple pleasures and happiness. Her faith was the cornerstone of her existence, and her belief in Jesus infused her interactions with kindness and compassion. Paula's legacy is one of love, friendship, and an unyielding resolve to uplift those around her.
Paula is survived by her daughter Aleta Echartea; grandchildren Chelsy Hunt (Sidney), Olivia Morales, and Jayden Morales; great-grandchildren Gracie Hunt, Bentley Hunt, and Aria Hunt; siblings R.A. Riley (Roberta), Darrell Riley, John Riley, Joe Riley (Terry), and Jane Hudspeth; several nieces and nephews; and life-long best friend Cathy Caplinger.
She is preceded in death by her parents Richard Wilmer Riley and Dora Dean Riley; husband Kenneth "Kenny" Lambert; siblings Irma King, Faye Bales. and Sue Bricker; brother-in-law Bill Hudspeth; and Aunt Mary Cook.
A visitation will be held on Thursday October 24, 2024, from 12-3pm with a funeral service beginning at 3pm at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Services - Anderson.
Paula Lambert will be deeply missed by all her family and friends, who cherished her and will carry her memory forward in their hearts. May she rest in peace, embraced by the love she so freely gave.
