Mrs. Pauline (Pat) (McKay) Watson passed away peacefully on July 13, 2019 with her family by her side, and joined Jesus Christ, her late husband and soul mate, Jerry Watson and two of her sons, in heaven. She was preceded in death by her son Johnny Black and her son James Black. She is survived by her son, Donald (Shelly), and her daughters, Robin, Cindy (Rick), Christine and Robyn (Joe). Also 27 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild plus one more on the way.
Patti was born to Paul and Mary Newberry in October 1933. She was a graduate of the former Gerstmeyer (TECH) high school in Terre Haute. She was a cheerleader for all four years. She proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for two years before starting her family. She lived in Indianapolis, Indiana and was a real estate broker and then became a mortgage loan officer for several years. She went into the automotive field at Alderman Ford in Indianapolis and quickly moved up to management before she retired. She owned and operated a residential and light commercial cleaning service “My Cleaning Lady” until 1999 when she reunited with the love of her life.
Patti married Jerry Watson in November 2000. Patti was always a funny, quick-witted, feisty person and will be greatly missed by her whole family. She requested a gravesite service which is scheduled for Friday, July 26, 2019 at 4:00 pm at Floral Park Cemetery, 425 N. Holt Road, Indianapolis, IN 46222. Her PARTY will immediately follow at Thatcher Park, 4649 W. Vermont Street, Indianapolis, IN 46222. Patti also INSISTED that everyone dress comfortably. NO DRESS CLOTHES ALLOWED.
