Peggy Irene Stewart

Peggy Irene Stewart, age 66, of Anderson, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2020 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital. She was born on June 28, 1953 to the late Frank Cook and Barbara Stewart.

Peggy was a wonderful, beautiful, amazing women. It is very hard to put into few words who she was to our family. She had a big heart and would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. She loved to watch Nascar and always enjoyed any family event. She was a mother all by herself, being tough, loving, and great to her children. She had a loving spirit and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Peggy is survived by her longtime boyfriend Lavere Smith; children Timothy Hiles, Christina Taylor, Lonna Hook (Paul Peckens), and Lori Hook; grandchildren Timothy Patterson (Megan), Alyssa Patterson, Damian Patterson (Kelsey), Holly Martin, Aaron Hook, Jessica Hunt, and Robert Douglas; great-grandchildren Millie Patterson, Lance Patterson, and Kristen Martin; nephews Christopher Fields, David Fields, and Brian Fields; and many cousins.

She is preceded in death by her sister Sue Fields and her parents listed above.

Cremation was chosen. No services will be held at this time.
