Phillip Lee Jackson, 80, passed away at CommunityHospital on February 13, 2017. He wasborn in Anderson to Roy and Ruby Jackson on December 1, 1936.

Phil attended Washington School and schools inFlorida. He was very athletic and playedfootball and ran track. He joined theMarines and was stationed at Camp Lejeune. He was very proud to serve his country.

Phil was a carpenter. He enjoyed building bird houses, doing various wood crafts, andrestoring antique furniture. He alsoenjoyed mowing the lawn and watching westerns. Most of all, he cared for his family and friends.

Left to cherish Phil’s memory is his son, Phillip K.Jackson; grandchildren, Tad Jackson, Travis Jackson (Vancouver, WA), KylaMartin (Italy), and Kevin Jackson (Vancouver, WA); siblings, Mary Sheffield(Orlando, FL), Jerry (Phyllis) Brown (Anderson, IN), Judy Sellers (Tampa, FL),Betty Jane McCary (Jacksonville, FL), and David (Beth) Beeson (Goergia); 7great grandchildren; nephew, Joseph B. Jackson; and nieces, Julie Porter and AngelaChase.

Preceding Phil in death are his parents; and siblings,Sarah L. Ryan, Charlotte Curl, Joseph F. Jackson, Rozella Hiatt, Dale Brown,Johnny Brown, Joyce Brown, Gerald Brown and Harold Brown.

Donations in memory of Phil may be made to the VeteransAffairs Office.
