Phyllis Eileen Koch, 97, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on July 9,2017.
She was born on October 4, 1919 to the late Buford and Laverne Bryant. Phyllis spent the majority of her life helping others spiritually and physically. After caring for her husband Kenneth during his bout with cancer, she also cared for both of her aging parents till their death.
In the meantime, she cared for herself and her son Kent by enrolling in Beauty School. She loved being creative with hairstyles and making her customers happy. Hiking, music and gardening were all things she enjoyed in her younger years..
Her main love was for the Bible and her Creator Jehovah. Because of that love, the door-to-door ministry became the focus of her life. The comfort and support she received from the scriptures compelled her to share comfort with others. Her hope for a paradise earth, where sickness and death would be a thing of the past, something she taught many others, was real in her mind when she passed away.
Phyllis is survived by her son Kent Walls and Kathy Walls (daughter in law), Grandson David Walls and Miha Walls (granddaughter) in Japan, and Melody Robertson (neice).
Preceding her in death was her late husband Dale Koch who passed away February 12, 1996.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 29,2017 at 2 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses located at 12241 Lantern Road, Fishers, In 46038. Arrangements provided by Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services - Lawrence.
