We celebrate the life of Quanesha Shatise Ford, a woman whose love knew no bounds. Born on December 19, 1986, in Chicago, Quanesha was a light in the lives of all who knew her. She was the cherished daughter of Lovey Ford and Gregory Spraggins Sr., who preceded her in death. On January 19, 2025, she departed this life, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family.
Quanesha’s greatest joy and purpose in life were her children. She was a proud and devoted mother to her five children: Taiveon (Nia), Tykerion, Jakeem, Ja’Quez, and her “little me,” Dynastii. Her love extended just as deeply to her precious granddaughter, Legacy, and to the children of her beloved sister, Schelmeka Quatise Ford, who preceded her in death—Aaliyah, Antiana, Annashay, and Jontavias Ford. She loved them as her own, and they were truly the center of her world.
Quanesha’s presence was a gift—her infectious smile, filled with warmth and joy, could brighten any room. She had a free-spirited and loving nature, drawing people in with her kindness, laughter, and unshakable loyalty. To know her was to love her, and she never hesitated to show her love in return.
She leaves behind a family that will forever cherish her memory: her devoted children and granddaughter, as well as her loving sisters LeKisha (Art), Dot, Cassandra (James), Marsha (John), and Lawanda; her brothers Altai and Gregory Jr.; her two mothers, Lovey Ford and Mary Spraggins, along with her bonus father, Alvin Thornton. She also leaves behind special nephews Pierre Jr. (Melissa), Norris (Sarah), and Kevonte, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, aunts, and dear friends who were blessed to have known and loved her.
Though Quanesha’s physical presence will be deeply missed, her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched. Her love, her laughter, and the beautiful memories she created will continue to be a guiding light for all who were fortunate enough to call her family or friend.
Rest peacefully, Quanesha. Your love will never fade, and your legacy will forever remain.
