Quintin Thaddeus Dowdy

Quintin Thaddeus Dowdy, 22, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2019 in Novi, Michigan. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on June 4, 1997 to Cornell and Teria Dowdy. Quintin confessed his life to Christ at the tender age of six (6). Quintin was raised in Milwaukee Wisconsin until the age of nine (9). His family relocated to Indianapolis, Indiana in 2006 where he would complete his elementary and middle school years. Quintin attended Walled Lake Western High School in Commerce, Michigan where he excelled in football and participated in a variety of extracurricular activities.  After high school he attended Tiffin University and later transferred and continued his studies at Wayne County College District.

Quintin is survived by his parents, Cornell and Teria Dowdy, of Indianapolis, Indiana; son, Jayden Xavier Dowdy of Wixom, Michigan; high school sweetheart and loving mother of Jayden, Faith Adams of Wixom, Michigan; maternal grandmother, Carolyn Burns of Greenwood, Mississippi; paternal grandmother, Henrietta Wertz of Chicago, Illinois; sister, Renee Brown (Steve) of Chicago, Illinois; brother,  Cornell Dowdy Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia; brother, Marcus Dowdy (Taiwana) of South Bend, Indiana; brother, Nigel Dowdy of Indianapolis, Indiana; brother, Justin Dowdy of Indianapolis, Indiana; godbrother Amir Dowdell of Melrose Park, Illinois; and godsister Harmony Dowdell of Melrose Park, Illinois. Quintin was loved and cherished by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 12, 2019 at New Revelation Christian Church, 6701 Oaklandon Road, Indianapolis, IN. The family will welcome friends and relatives during a viewing from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and the service will follow from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
