Richard Albert Ball

After an extended battle with M.S., Richard Ball passed away on February 15, 2019 at Community Hospital, Anderson. Richard was born November 11, 1963 to the late Don Ball and Sue Bricker. He attended Anderson High School. Richard worked several jobs, the last being Riley and Son’s Auto Body until his illness.

Richard was known as a jokester. He always had a witty comeback. He was an avid collector of die cast cars and loved watching movies on TV and listening to country music while he slept at night. Family was important to Richard and his favorite visitor was his pride and joy, “Little Man,” grandson, KeAndre.

Richard is survived by children Richard W. Ball  (Brittney), and Christina Ball, one grandson, KeAndre Simpson, all from Anderson, his mother Sue Bricker, brothers John Ball (Heather) of Fairmount, David, Donnie and Jeremiah Ball of Anderson, his sisters Judy Owen (Randy) of Greenfield, Sherri Maupin (David) of Anderson, and Venus Guerra (Eddie) of Muncie. Also, special family friend and caregiver Greta Cecil as well as many nieces and nephews and aunts and uncles. The family would like to thank KMG Home Care Agency for the many years of splendid service.

Richard was preceded in death by his father Don Ball and step-father Raymond Bricker. He was very appreciative of special brother, John Ball and sister Judy Owen for their undying loyalty and devotion.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 20, 2019 from 1-3 pm at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, 504 W. 9^th Street, Anderson, service beginning at 3 pm. Burial at Maplewood Cemetery.
