Richard Lee Bourke passed away peacefully after a long battle with dementia on Thursday, July 18. Born in Marion, IN to Charles and Ruth (Sanger) Bourke, he graduated from Anderson High in ‘58. He retired (unwillingly) from Guide (GM) in ‘03. He loved playing the lottery, ran many pools with his Guide co-workers, and was on the Hoosier Millionaire Lottery show 4 times! He loved collecting Hot Wheels and Corvettes, and he was well-known for the big Woodpecker decal in the rear window of his ‘62 Vette. He loved bowling and spending time with his Grandkids.
Survived by ex-wife Barbara (Wolff) Cox, son Terry (Cynthia) Bourke, Grandkids Taylor & Jacob Bourke, brothers Steve (Nancy) Bourke & Jim (Kim) Bourke, sister Carolyn (Jerry) Thomas, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be Sat, Aug 3 at Legacy Funeral Home, Anderson, with visitation 1-3 and a memorial service at 3. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Riley Children’s Hospital or Park Place Food Pantry.
