Richard L. Warren, 71, of Carmel passed away January 12th with his family by his side. Rick, born in Evansville, was a Hoosier at heart. He graduated from Indiana State University in 1970. He began his career at Sears where he met his wife of 45 years. He worked his way up to corporate headquarters in the Sears Tower in Chicago. He later moved his family back to Indiana where he became the owner of a small business that he ran for many years.
Rick was a member of Orchard Park Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder and was blessed with many close friendships within the church family. He was a long-time season ticket holder for the Colts. He will be remembered for his kind heart, sense of humor, and masterful work ethic.
Rick was preceded in death by his mother, Louise Duckworth, step-father, Joseph Duckworth, father, Cloman Warren and step-mother, Virginia Warren; and father-in-law, Ben Lenhart. He is survived by his wife, Karen Warren; sons, Scott Warren, Ryan (Ashunti) Warren, and Mark Warren; Cherished grandchildren, Michael Warren, Sawyer Warren, Kalani Warren; brothers and sisters, Charlotte Mellott, Sandra (Bob) Yeager, Jim Warren, Mike (Traci) Duckworth, Robin Duckworth and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 1605 East 106th Street, Indianapolis, IN at Orchard Park Presbyterian Church on Thursday, January 17th. Visitation will begin at 1:30pm followed by a memorial service at 3:00pm.
