On Thursday March 11, 2021, Rick S. Mohler, loving husband, father and Papaw went home to be with his Lord and Savior at the age of 72.
Rick was born August 26, 1948 to Charles and Nellie Mohler. He was the youngest of twelve children. He grew up in Yorktown, Indiana where he enjoyed raising calves for 4-H. Rick also enjoyed playing basketball for the Yorktown Tigers. He received his Healthcare Management degree from Ball State University in 1970. Rick always had a heart for those with special needs and worked with Special Olympics.
In 1987, he began his career in healthcare management and built ambulatory surgery centers throughout the Midwest. In 1996, he built a successful medical equipment and consulting business. He was not just a regular CEO; he was a mentor who always made time for his team. Rick loved the Lord and was eager to help wherever needed. He and his wife served on mission trips in many different countries, along with local outreaches in central Indiana. He loved to travel and was always up for fun. He loved games, was a good dancer, and enjoyed more than anything, spending time with his grandkids on camping trips and adventures. He was a wonderful husband, father, papaw, and friend.
Rick is survived by his wife of 36 years Mary Anne, his daughter Leisa Erickson (Matt), and his four sons Joe Hadley (Tracy), Jason Hadley (Amanda), Jim Hadley (Brandi), Jon Hadley (Jami), and. Thirteen grandchildren, and his sister Vicky Findley.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2021 from 12pm to 5pm at Mounds State Park.
