Rita's passion for teaching led her to become the owner of Stepping Stones Preschool, where she touched the lives of countless children. Teaching was not just a profession for Rita; it was her calling. She believed in nurturing the minds and spirits of young children and creating a strong foundation for their future success. Rita's dedication to educating preschoolers was unparalleled, and she will always be remembered as an exceptional teacher.
In addition to her successful career as an educator, Rita was a loving and devoted family woman. She adored her husband John R. Rambis and was a wonderful mother to her daughter Lissa Hendricks and son David Rambis.
Family meant everything to Rita. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones and took immense pride in their accomplishments. Rita's nurturing nature made her an extraordinary mother and grandmother who always provided unwavering support and encouragement.
Rita had many interests that brought joy to her life. She held a deep appreciation for music and found solace in playing the cello. Rita also delighted in attending concerts and visiting any ocean or large body of water – places that brought her tranquility and peace. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing softball and volleyball.
The color purple held a special place in Rita's heart – she found it both calming and inspiring. Additionally, Rita had a fondness for owls, which represented wisdom and intuition to her.
Outside of her professional and personal pursuits, Rita enjoyed curling up with a good book, particularly love stories that touched her heart. She also found great pleasure in cooking and watched "Golden Girls" with much delight.

To honor the extraordinary life of Rita Anne Rambis, a Memorial Gathering will be held on December 20, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at 504 W 9th St, Anderson, Indiana. This gathering will be followed by a Memorial Service from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
Rita Anne Rambis is survived by her beloved husband John R. Rambis, daughter Lissa Hendricks, son David Rambis, grandchildren Malique Reese, Seraiah Reese, De Aisa Jones, Knox Rambis, Nora Rambis, great-grandchildren Brayson Peak and Aaraelah Peak.
She is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Betty Condon; and siblings Jerry Condon, Nancy Williams, Ron Condon.
