Robert "Bob" E. Rose

Robert "Bob" E. Rose, born on February 17, 1950, in Muncie, Indiana, passed away on August 24, 2024, in Indianapolis, Indiana, following an extended illness. A devoted family man and a cherished friend to many, Bob leaves behind fond memories and a legacy of love and care.

Bob was a proud graduate of Muncie South Side High School, Class of 1969. He dedicated the majority of his career to General Motors, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence. Outside of his professional life, Bob was well-regarded for his remarkable ability to fix and build just about anything. Friends and family alike often turned to him for assistance, knowing they could count on his handyman skills and expertise in remodeling projects.

Bob cherished the moments spent with his two sons, particularly enjoying the quality time at gun shows and swap meets. Family gatherings held a special place in his heart, as he always looked forward to the joyous occasions shared during holidays. His personality might have been hard on the exterior, but inside, Bob was a true softie. 

In addition to his family life, Bob had a myriad of interests that included watching NASCAR and wrestling. He found joy in visiting Straw Town, where he created lasting memories. His compassionate spirit and willingness to lend a hand endeared him to all who knew him.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Rexenna Rose; two sons Bobby Rose and Steven Rose (Brittany); grandchildren Nathaniel Rose, Brian Rose (Alex Wheeler), Brock Rose, and Wrenley Rose; great-grandchildren Parker and Orion; brother William "Bill" Rose (Stephanie); niece Tina Miller (William) and nephew Billy Rose (Linda); and Aunt Bonnie Ritchison. 

He is preceded in death by his grandson Bobby Aaron Rose; parents Robert Rose Jr. and Rozetta Stephens; and special dogs Poochie, Jake, and Suzzy. 

A visitation will be held on Friday August 30, 2024, at North Anderson Wesleyan Church in Anderson, IN from 10am-11am with a funeral service beginning at 11am with burial at Elm Ridge Cemetery in Muncie, IN. 

Bob Rose will be remembered not only for his skills and interests, but also for the love he shared with his family and friends. His legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched and the memories he helped create. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
