Robert J. Lindsey, known to his friends and family as "Bobby," passed away peacefully at home on March 9, 2025, at the age of 62. His passing was due to natural causes.
Bobby was born on May 26, 1962, in Beech Grove, Indiana, to the late William C. Lindsey and Betty Jo Lindsey. He was a loving son, father, brother, and friend, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Bobby served his country honorably in the United States Army for three years. After his time in service, he worked for FedEx Ground for 6 years, he worked his last year at Shell Gas Station on Kentucky Avenue in Indianapolis, where he made many lifelong connections with coworkers and customers alike.
He is survived by his son, Robert W. Lindsey; his daughter, Heather Bittinger; and his beloved brothers, Joseph Lindsey, Michael Lindsey, Patrick Lindsey; sister, Kathleen Galyan; nieces, and nephews—five nieces and seven nephews—who brought joy to his life. He is preceded in passing by his sister, Mary Lou Harrison.
A visitation for Bobby will be held at Legacy Funeral Home, located at 1604 W. Morris Street, Indianapolis, on March 20th. Friends and family are welcome to join from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM to pay their respects and celebrate Bobby’s life.
