Robert F. Maley Jr

Robert F Maley Jr died July 13,2023 at Majestic Care of Southport, Indiana after a brief illness.

Born January 3, 1946, in Alexandria, Indiana to Robert Franklin Maley and Alwine Wehsollek Maley, Bob lived his entire life in Anderson, Indiana.

He graduated from Madison Heights in 1964, Anderson Apprentice School 1981, and attended Hobart School of Welding Technology.

Bob was employed as a welder at Guide Lamp from 1964 until retiring in 1997.

An Army veteran, he received a purple heart while serving with the 44th infantry in Vietnam.

Bob was known as an avid Colts and sports fan. He raced, ran marathons, traveled, and participated in many sports.

Survivors include sisters Roberta (Ned) Craig, Anita Wood, Ruth Smith, brothers Tim Maley, Stephen (Teressa) Maley, nieces and nephews Sandy Barkdall, Allen, Stephanie, and Bruce Craig, Lisa Pinnick, Jessica Wood, Jeff Smith, Thomas Maley.

He was preceded in death by his parents , grandparents August and Wilhelmine Wehsollek, Carrie and Michael Maley, sister in law Mary Maley and niece Sarah Maley.

A visitation will be held on Thursday July 20, 2023 from 12-2pm with a funeral service beginning at 2pm at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Services – Anderson.
