Robert Ronnie Price Ii

Robert “Ronnie” Price was born on July 6, 1950 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, IN to the union of Robert Price and Esther Pearl Price (who both preceded him in death).  His only brother, Forest McBain, also preceded him in death.  Ronnie attended the Indianapolis School System and loved to fish and go hunting as a young boy.

In 1968, at the age of 17, Ronnie joined the U.S. Army, where he became a Food Service Specialist.  He later went on to gain the rank of Staff Sergeant. Ronnie married the love of his life, Carol Denise Sims (who preceded him in death), in 1967.  To this union, two children were born: one son, Robert Ronnie Price III and one daughter, Tiffany Price.  In 1986, after 17 years of service, Ronnie received an honorable discharge from the Army. He began his employment at Fort Benjamin Harrison Army Base that same year.  Later in 1992, Ronnie was employed by Knights of Columbus as a chef, in which he remained employed until his passing.

Everyone enjoyed being around Ronnie because of his uncanny and crazy sense of humor.  Cooking was always Ronnie’s passion, especially for his family.  Ronnie was a loving and dedicated father to his children.  He will greatly be missed.

On September 16, 2019, at approximately 10:00 a.m., God chose to call our beloved Ronnie home.  He leaves to celebrate his life: one son, Robert R. Price III; one daughter, Tiffany Price; a special sister/cousin, Alice K. Moore; seven grandchildren, Nassir, Kennedy, Da’Vion, Dazhan, Da’Lyn, Khriste’ana, Kailynn; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 4pm to 8pm on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, 5215 N. Shadeland Avenue.  A Homegoing Celebration will be at 10am on Friday, September 27, 2019 at the funeral home.  Burial to follow at Crown Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN.
