Robert A. “Bob” Taliaferro, age 80, of Anderson, passed away September 19 at Indianapolis Heart Hospital surrounded by family. He was born in Covington, KY to John and Edith (Haggard) Taliaferro.
Bob dedicated much of his life to coaching little league Babe Ruth and American Legion baseball in Anderson. He was employed by Emges for 29 years, the Pendleton Reformatory for 10 years, as well as the Madison County Government Center for another 10 years.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn (Bates Cooper), whom he married April 2, 1960. Also surviving him, grandchildren Nathan A. Taliaferro, Brandon E. Taliaferro, Jessica D. Taliaferro (Antione Turner), Cheyenne R. Taliaferro, and Alexus Kerns; great-grandchildren Demarcus, Cameron, Caleb, Alivia, Brandon II Taliaferro, Asjia, Elizabeth (Lizzy) Turner; great-great-grandchildren Jaxon and Carter Taliaferro; also special daughter-in-law Amanda Keihn and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents listed above, sister Betty Taliaferro (Tackett), and beloved son John Allen Taliaferro.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2020 from 2-3pm with a funeral service beginning at 3pm at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service – Anderson.
