Roderick “Rod” Escue, 53 passed unexpectedly November 30, 2021, at his private residence in Indianapolis, Indiana. Rod was born May 15, 1968 in Indianapolis, the son of Billy G. Escue and Centina M. Escue.
In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his paternal grandparents and maternal grandparents, and his faithful K9 companion Lexie. Surviving in addition to his mother are his brothers, Eric Escue, Ron Escue and his wife Karen, Randy Escue and his wife Tammi, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Rod was an exceptionally bright individual building his first radio broadcasting station “WRDE” (Radio Rod) at the age of 10 years old which earned him front page recognition in the local newspaper. Rod operated the fully functioning radio station for several years from his home in Fortville, Indiana.
Along with several certifications, Rod held his FCC license for over 25 years. His expertise was RF Electronics serving the Telecommunication and Defense Industries over his 35-year career.
Rod had a passion for music of all genres composing many original songs in his early years and continuing as a hobbyist DJ and production sound mixer throughout his adult life.
Rod was well versed in Bible scripture and had an uncanny understanding of the Word and an unwavering Faith.
Rod was a gentle and compassionate soul and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A Celebration of Life in remembrance will be planned and announced after the new year.
