Ronald Eugene Taylor, 63, died unexpectedly at home onJanuary 19, 2017. He was born inAnderson on January 24, 1953 to H. Carlis and Beatrice Taylor.

Ron attended Anderson High School, graduating in1972. He earned his Associate Degrees inLabor Relations and Waste Water Management. He worked for General Motors in production from 1972 until hisretirement in 2002. He also worked at the Pendleton Reformatory in the wastewater treatment department.

Ron Taylor and Stephanie Vermillion met while theywere in high school. They were marriedon March 30, 1973. He was a quiet, calmman that went out of his way to be helpful. Ron was a hardworking and devoted family man, a wonderful husband and agreat dad.

Ron was Chairman of the American Killifish Association.Ron and Stephanie traveled all over to meet people with similar interests. He was a supporter of the 2ndamendment and a NRA member. He was anavid hunter and fisherman. Ron also wasan archer and bow hunter. He enjoyedrock n’ roll music and loved playing guitars.

Left to cherish Ron’s memory is his wife of 43 years,Stephanie; daughters, Jennifer (Brian) Berryman and Carrie (Heath) Burton;parents, H. Carlis and Beatrice Taylor; brother, Darrell Taylor; grandchildren,Hayley Berryman, Jesse Berryman, Jacob Berryman, Morgan Burton, and KailinBurton; and many aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Preceding Ron in death are his grandparents; favoriteuncle, Irvin Taylor who passed just last year; and several aunts and uncles.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at MoundsBaptist Church, 3001 Mounds Road, on January 24 at 5 PM with Pastor Doug Greggpresiding. A dinner will follow.

Donations in memory of Ron may be made to the donor’scharity of choice.
