Ronald H. Babb, 76, passed away at the VA Hospital in Ft. Wayne on December 28, 2016.
Ron was born in Bloomington, Indiana on November 10,1940 to Fred and Maxine Babb. The family moved to Oregon, but Ron returned to Indiana in 1965 and lived in Anderson the rest of his life.
Ron proudly served his country in the United States Navy for almost six years in California and the Philippines. He worked at Nicholson File, L&S Auto,and as a mechanic at Nuce Tire and Auto before retiring.
Ron loved to ride his motorcycle. He shot bow and arrow competitively at Jack’s Archery. He also liked shooting target practice with his guns. He was a member of VFW #266. Ron was a stubborn, lovable man that adored his family.
Left to treasure Ron’s memory is his daughter, RondaBabb Hancock; granddaughter, Tracy (Duran) Davis-Pugh; grandson, Andrew Davis;great-grandchildren, Caleb, Kaiver, and Xylah Pugh; daughter, Carol (Stanley)Barksdale; grandchildren, Eric Davidson, Ashley Whigham, Michael Whigham, and Corey Whigham; great-grandchildren, Colleen Davidson, Aubriegh Davidson, Mason Davidson, and Mickaylah Whigham; many other family members; and special friends, Marvin and Ben.
Ron was preceded in death by his mother, Maxine Babb;father, Fred Babb; baby brother, Frederick Babb; uncle, Earl Hudson; aunt,Dorothy Tittle (husband, Martin); and several aunts and uncles.
Visitation and Military Honors will be Thursday,January 5, 2017, from 2:00-4:00 PM at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services.
