Roy D. Ogburn

Roy Dennis Ogburn, 81, of Anderson, passed away on Nov. 10, 2021 peacefully at his home of an extended illness. He was born on April 13, 1940 in Anderson to Roy Maurice and Marie (Friend) Ogburn.

Roy retired from General Motors where he worked for 25 years as a painter. He also enjoyed other jobs. Roy was an avid fisherman.

He is survived by his wife Marilyn Ogburn of Anderson whom he was married to for 60 years. He is also survived by his sons Roy Dennis Ogburn Jr. (Rayanna), Robert Kent Ogburn (Debbie), Kevin Wayne Ogburn; grandchildren Shea Allen Ogburn “Mikenzie”, Ashley Nicole Ogburn, Anthony Ray Ogburn Jr., Nathan Wayne Ogburn; brother-in-law Bob Owens, sister Patty Spaulding; several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his son Anthony “Tony” Ray Ogburn.

Roy will be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held at Mounds Park Pavilion, November 17, 2021 from 2-7pm in Anderson.

Roy’s family would like to extend an invitation to the celebration to any and all of Roy’s friends.
