Sandra K. Phelps

Sandra K. Phelps, 77, of Indianapolis, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2020. She was born in Indianapolis, Marion County on November 19, 1942 to Julius Noah and Hilda (Glascock) Chapple.

She graduated from Greenfield High School in 1961 in Greenfield. Sandra married Howard Phelps on June 9, 1961 in Greenfield. She worked as a cashier for Greenfield Central High School before retiring in 1995. Sandra was a member of Trinity Park United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and doing puzzles, and most of all she loved her grandchildren.

Sandra is survived by her two daughters, Barbara (Paul) Jones of Greenfield and Brenda Phelps, of Indianapolis; grandsons, Ryan Jones of Jasper, Drew Jones of Greenfield, and Jordan Jones of Greenfield: and her sister Jeanne Strahl.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard; her sister Sue Strubbe; her brother Rex Chapple and grandson Scott Jones.

Visitation will be held from 6pm to 7:30 pm at Trinity Park United Methodist Church, 207 W. Park Avenue, Greenfield, IN 46140, followed by a service at 7:30 PM. Reverend Larry Van Camp will be officiating.
