Saundra Ball, 81, went to be with Jesus on May 14,2016. She was born to Charles and Beryl Goff and grew up in Pendleton.
Saundra earned her Bachelor’s at Indiana University and her Master’s at Ball State. She was an elementary school teacher in Florida, then taught at Leach Elementary, retiring in 1996. Saundra continued educating after retirement by teaching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren to read.
Saundra left an amazing heritage to her family and friends as an example of a Proverbs 31 woman who sacrificed her life to love her husband, children, grandchildren, and her God.
Saundra was a long time member of Tabor Church. She read her Bible every morning. She was dedicated and very involved in the AlMassira discipleship ministry. Saundra was a servant, enjoyed helping people and was passionate for others to know Jesus.
Preceding her in death is her father, Charles Goff; mother,Beryl Goff; and daughter, Cheryl Ball Overdorf.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of sixty years,Frederick Ball; daughters, Debbie (Brett) Henson and Brenda (Barnes) Vajner;grandchildren, Sarah Henson (Matt) Selee, Nathan (Krystal) Henson, Jacob Henson, Grace Henson, Matt Henson, Brittany Vajner (Brent) Woolard, Brandon(Tara) Vajner, Brooke Vajner (Jacob) Folkner, Jordan (Merry) Overdorf, and Rachel Overdorf; great-grandchildren, Tiana, Raedon, and Asher Selee, Ayden Henson, Bailey and Tenley Vajner, Landon and Addie Grace Folkner, and Eli Overdorf; and sister, Deanna Yancey. Also left are special friends, Dick and Judy Stephens.
The family wished to express a special thank you to the Tabor Church body for the love, support, meals, visits and prayers. Special thanks also to Pam Davis, the Nurse Navigator, at Community Cancer Center.
Visitation with the family is Friday, May 20, 2016 at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM. The service will be at 1:00 PM with burial to follow immediately at Grovelawn Cemetery in Pendleton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tabor Church to support the Al Massira Ministry.
