Scott Richard Murray, age 50, of Indianapolis, IN died on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at IU Methodist Hospital. He was born on June 19, 1968 to Russell Wade and Dorothy L. (Hastings) Murray in Indianapolis.
He was a member of the US Military serving in both the US Navy, where he served in operation Desert Storm, then enlisting in the US Army Reserves. After his honorable discharge from the military he took his love of reptiles and opened his own reptile retail business, “Monsterbird” where he sold and breed reptile animals. One of his favorite pastimes was playing paintball. More than anything he loved his children and he will be missed by his family and friends.
Leaving behind to cherish his memory are his children, Dalton Murray, Keagan Stiner, Zach (Mia) Rollins; fathers, Wayne (June) Murray and Russell (Ellie) Wade; grandchildren, Joel and Jackie Rollins; sisters, Jennifer (Mickey) Watson and Denise (Greg) Jones; brothers, Henry (Joannie) Murray and Matt (Carla) Murray; former spouse, Debi Tingle as well a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy “Dottie” A. Murray and brother, Michael Murray.
There will be a graveside service on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Washington Park East Cemetery, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN. Arrangements were entrusted to Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services – Lawrence.
