Sharon Frances Reid

Sharon Frances Reid, 56, of Indianapolis, passed away on October 18, 2024, in her Eastside home. Born on October 31, 1967, in Indianapolis, she was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Alice Bryant and Basil Reid. Sharon was known for her spunky personality, generosity, and tenacity, traits that endeared her to family and friends alike. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. She spent her life dedicated as a mother to her sons proceeded in death, Edward “Lil Ed” Lee Weaver Jr and Airamik “Fat Cat” Brown. As well as sharing a piece of her wisdom with her well loved grand children, Jay Tionnah Gilbert, Edward Lee Weaver III, Eddinnoah Weaver, and Kanye Weaver.

Throughout her life, Sharon was the cherished “baby” sister to her siblings: Lonnie Fern Withers, Edward Withers, Basil Eli Reid, Beatrice Elizabeth Reid, Thomas Joseph Reid, Rose Mary Reid, Benjamin Lee Reid, and Levi Andrew Reid. She will be remembered for her deep love of family and her bold character, always reflected in her vibrant style. A funeral service will be held on November 12, 2024, at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her brothers, Levi and Thomas Reid.
