Shirley Ann Wilson Shelton

Shirley Ann Wilson Shelton, 82, of Anderson, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2019. She was born on August 12, 1937 to the late Frazier and Blanche Rose in Gary, West Virginia.

Shirley graduated from Gary High School in 1956. She then moved to Indiana in 1964. She worked many years at Nicholson File until they closed in 1978. She worked at Kmart, Walmart, Singer, and retired from CVS in 2010 after 12 years of service. She was a strong, independent woman until Alzheimer’s took her. Though she will be sadly missed by family and friends, we know she is dancing in heaven.

Shirley is survived by her children Shearldine (Bill) Roundtree, of Anderson, Randall (Suzanne) Wilson, of Alexandria, and LeAnne (David Knopf) Aloupis, of Cincinnati; Grandchildren Ryan (Lindsay) Roundtree. Craig Wilson, Christopher (Jenny) Roundtree, Justin (Olivia) Worley, Corrinn Hamby, Emily Wilson, Alexis Aloupis, and Levi Aloupis; 7 great-grandchildren, and special friend, George Ergi.

She is preceded in passing by her parents; Siblings Raymond Rose, James Rose, Kenneth Rose, William Rose, Lowell Rose, and Betty Shrewsbury.

A visitation will be held on Monday, October 28, 2019 from 12-2pm with a funeral service beginning at 2pm at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service- Anderson. Burial will take place at Maplewood Cemetery. Rev. Ed Purciful will be officiating.
