Shirley Farler, age 90, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2025, in Anderson, Indiana. Born on February 15, 1935, in Allock, Kentucky, she lived a long and meaningful life marked by compassion, generosity, and deep love for her family and animals.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Farler; her children Joan Farler, Kenny Farler, and Sandy Farler; her grandson Dustin Farler; and her great-granddaughter Elizabeth Farler; and her sisters Jenivie Daniels and Lovetta Cole.
Her legacy lives on and is lovingly remembered by her grandson Craig Farler and her great grandson Jordan Farler and great great grandson Oliver Farler. She also leaves behind her grandchildren Amber Carter, Karen Brown, Ricky Brown, and Kristin Brown also great-grandchildren Blake Larkin and Chloe Borton and her daughter in law Malia Farler and her sister Rosietta Eddington.
Known for her boundless kindness and selflessness, Shirley often went without so that others could have what they needed. Her generosity touched many lives and left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
A devoted animal lover throughout her life, Shirley found joy in the companionship of her cats and shared a special bond with Eclipse, the dog she cherished alongside her grandson Jordan.
May Shirley’s memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her. Her gentle spirit and giving heart will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
