Shirley Gillespie

Shirley Gillespie, 76, passed away Aug. 30, 2021, at her home in Anderson surrounded by family following an extended illness.
She was born July 4, 1945, in Anderson, to Jack and Madge Luttrell. She was retired from Ascension St. Vincent Hospital Anderson after many years of service. Shirley leaves behind her longtime companion of over 20 years, Larry Thompson of Anderson; her daughters, Lisa Wood (Rick) of Saint George, South Carolina, Lori Remington (Jeffrey) of Chesterfield, Linda Milton (Tom) of Greenwood; son, David J. Gillespie (Ronda) of Alexandria; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Madge Luttrell; and sister, Sharon Lasley; her former husband and father of her four children, Larry J. Gillespie.
