Shirley Mae Smith

Shirley Mae Smith 84, of Indianapolis, passed away on September 24, 2021.  Shirley was born on September 6, 1937 to the late Lester and Myrtle Tate in Indianapolis.  Shirley leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband William Smith, and her 10 children, Richard (Dena) Holderfield, Donald (Jessica) Holderfield, Ronald Holderfield, Judith (Donal) McQueen, Diane (Donald) Davis, Karen (Billy) Cook, Sandy (Benjamin) Brumley, Clifford Holderfield, George (Christina) Smith, and James Smith.  Shirley also leaves her 36 grandchildren and 89 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren.  Her sister Betty (Joan) Graham.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters, Marjorie Chance and Phyllis Dearing.  Funeral Service for Shirley will be held on Thursday September 30, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services – Indianapolis, with visitation on Wednesday September 29, 2021 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.  Burial will follow at Floral Park Cemetery.
