Sidney Martin Pierce

Sidney Martin Pierce, age 61, of Indianapolis, Indiana died on Sunday, February 26, 2023. He was born on November 8, 1961 to the late Delmar C. and Delma R. (Thompson) Pierce.

He worked in maintenance for over 16 years at Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School where he made friends with many faculty, staff, and students. He loved his family and spending time with them, he was a avid fisherman and enjoyed playing poker and slots.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife Theresa McKinley; son, Sidney Pierce Jr.; step-children, Jeffrey (Anna) McKinney and Shelbie (Dalton) Hay; brothers, Max (Delena) Pierce and Delmar (Cindy) Pierce; sister Joyce Ann Hatfield; grand-children, Hailey Pierce, Laney McKinney and Jeffery McKinney III; nieces and nephews, Tracy Pierce, Carl Morgan, Sandra Wong, Donny Pierce, and Lanay Fox; 7 great-nephews and 3 great-nieces; his beloved dog, Lily and cat companion, Basil. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dennis Capps and daughter, Kristina Tinsley. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 2:00p.m. at Legacy Cremation Funeral Services- Indianapolis, 1604 W. Morris Street, Indianapolis. Burial will follow at Floral Park Cemetery. Memorials in Mr. Pierce’s name can be made to the family for final expenses. Envelopes will be available  funeral home.
