Steven Albert Forbes Jr.

Steven Albert Forbes Jr., affectionately known as Stevie, born on September 3, 1975, passed away on November 22, 2024, in his hometown of Indianapolis, Indiana. Stevie found his career as a residential painter through his natural talents as an artist.

As a young man, Stevie pursued basketball with passion, having earned a scholarship to Kankakee College before continuing his education locally at IUPUI. Later, he would put his skills and lasting lessons on the court to work as a coach for his sons and nephews at Irvington Elementary.

Those close to him will cherish the memory of a caring and giving individual, whether it was through his art or his devoted attention to family pets. He is fondly remembered for his love of fishing, telling stories, and nature.

He is survived by his parents, Steven A. Forbes Sr., and Dixie D. Deaton; stepmom, Sharon Forbes; his sister, Dixie Robbins; his sons Christian Lee Forbes and Alijah Alexander Forbes; as well as his nephews Trent Robbins and Matthew Robbins. Steve's grandparents, cousin Roxanne, and uncle Sonny have preceded him in death.

A graveside service will be held in his memory at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 27, 2024, at his final resting place among beloved family at Memorial Park Cemetery.
