He was preceded in death by his wife, Pattie Capps; and his parents, Granville and Edna Mae. He is survived by his son, Steven (Amanda); grandchildren, Tiffany and Jacob Capps; siblings, Becky, James, Kathy, Sonnie and Joey.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services 1604 W. Morris Street, Indianapolis, In 46221 from 5P until 9P, with funeral being held at same location on Friday, December 2, 2016 at 1P with burial to follow at New Crown Cemetery
