Teresa Arevalo

Teresa E. Arevalo, age 64, of Anderson, passed away at Community Hospital Anderson on August 23, 2021. She was born on July 21, 1957 to Willie and Lois Lightfoot.

Teresa was a die-hard Christian and the glue to her family. She was the most loving, giving mother who was always there for anyone in need. She was an amazing cook. She would be watching Golden Girls, Top Chef, and Biggest Loser any chance she could. She was always praying for her family and friends and kept everyone going. She was a wonderful mother, grandma, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Teresa is preceded by her children Carlos Arevalo and Michelle Arevalo; grandchildren Monique Arevalo, Camron Arevalo, Levi Henry (Kyliah), and Evan Henry (Jesslyn); great-grandchildren Jasiah Plake, Journee Henry, and Lyte Henry; father Willie Lightfoot; siblings Alisa Sutherland (Jim), Brenda Lightfoot, Samuel (Patricia) Siler, Jeremy Lightfoot,  William (Danelle) Lightfoot,  and Jeffrey House; good friend Debbie Leahman; and niece and nephew Korey Moore and Desirae Moore; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her mother Lois Lightfoot, and grandma Fannie Johnson.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday September 1, 2021 from 10-12pm with a funeral service following at 12pm at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service – Anderson. Burial will take place at Maplewood Cemetery.
