Terri L. Means (Rottler) 64 of Avon, IN went to be with our Lord surrounded by family on November 19th, 2020 after many years of battling cancer.
Terri attended Warren Central High School in Indianapolis, IN
Terri and her late husband, Patrick Means were married for 44 years and owned their own business Hoosier Cartage & Transfer Company in Indianapolis, IN for many years. After starting a family she found her dream home in Martinsville, IN where she enjoyed living the country life. She loved tending to her garden and canning her foods year after year. Terri also enjoyed being surrounded by her family and friends cooking big meals for them or gathering at her lake house grilling out, fishing, and swimming.
Terri grew up going camping and continued going with her own children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed music and would go to many concerts throughout her lifetime but with music came her love for dancing, if the right song was playing she would dance like no one was watching. She also enjoyed football and racing so if she wasn’t at a game or race, you would find her watching from home.
Terri had a heart of gold and loved helping others whenever/however she was able even as she was going through her cancer treatments. To her, nobody was a stranger. She cared for everyone equally.
Terri is survived by her daughter Shea (William) Balay, grandchildren Brittany and Brianna Cox, Austin Carver, and Ciera Clephane, parents Perry (step-mother Teresa) Rottler, mother in-law Jacqueline Means, sisters Julie (Andy) Warren, Tami (Nelson) Rogers, Kathie Rottler, Sheri (Tim) Trick, Sandie (Bud) Cummins, sister in-law, Debbie Means, brothers in-laws David (Cindy) Means and Delton (Sharon) Means along with several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
