Theodore Gene Soldanels

January 15, 1966 — May 31, 2019

Indianapolis, IN

Theodore “Teddy” Gene Soldanels, 53, passed away recently in his home in Indianapolis, Indiana.

He was born January 15, 1966 in Kansas City, Missouri to mother, Paula Sue (DeMint) Soldanels (deceased) and father, Theodore “Ted” Pierre Soldanels. He was loved by his sisters and brother as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. His siblings are: Kimberly Ann (Soldanels) Gerster (Lyle) of Eldorado Springs, Missouri, Christine Elaine (Soldanels) Fitzwater (David) of Shelby County Indiana, Karen Joy Soldanels (deceased), Patricia Lenae (Soldanels) Sanchez (Terry) of Grain Valley, Missouri, James Anthony Soldanels (deceased), and Kalyne Danielle Soldanels of Shelbyville, Indiana.

Ted never married and lived alone in his home in Indianapolis, Indiana. He lived in the Kansas City, Missouri area until he was a young man. He graduated from Tri-City Christian High School in Kansas City and worked various jobs in the Kansas City and Independence area before moving to Indianapolis, Indiana in 1986. There he worked for: Carter Lumber Company, installer for Directv per FDA and FCC codes, Indiana Blood Center holding CDL and FDA regulations for driving mobile units, setting up for donor counseling and phlebotomy procedures. Then he began his career in metal fabrication operations and brake setup and running operations. He worked for IMH Sheet Metal Fabrication, Indianapolis, American Ultraviolet, Lebanon, Indiana, and until the metal fabrication department closure this year, he worked for Kimball Electronics/Aircom for over 5 years.

Ted loved GOLF and not only played here on various courses around Indianapolis but traveled to Pensacola, Florida to play their courses on occasion. When failing health came, he wasn’t able to take part on the fairways but that didn’t deter him from still enjoying GOLF. His name tag in various venues was “Duffer”. He was a close follower of various televised golf tournaments, even the LPGA. He was also a Colt’s fan and a Kansas City Chief’s fan.

Above all, Ted was a Christian, a fine young man, liked by all he worked with and knew. The interment of his earthly remains will be at Summerfield, Illinois beside his mother and five additional generations of his ancestors which have gone on before. This service will be at a later date with his immediate family.

Donations could be given to a church or organization of your choosing.

We look forward to seeing Teddy again in the place of Comfort and Joy. God Bless You.

Arrangements handled by Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services – Lawrence.
