Theresa D. Murrell

Theresa Dean Murrell was born October 6, 1971 in Indianapolis, Indiana to James Murrell and Laura Jackson. She professed her love for Christ early on where she attended Lee Temple and Greater Works Cathedral. Theresa gained her wings December 23, 2024 at the young age of 53.

She is preceded in death by her father James Murrell, grandfather and grandmother Arthur and Corrine Gartin Miller, her brother Mitchell Jackson Jr and sister Jaqueline Jackson

She attended elementary school #71. She also went to Howe where she ran track and later transferred to Arsenal Technical High School taking up Cosmetology. Theresa didn’t stop there she furthered her career as an adult in the nursing field. She started as a CNA over 20 years ago then became a QMA. Later she attended J Everett Light and graduated as a LPN. Throughout her journey with terminal illness she overcame and obtained her Administrator License.

Theresa was a remarkable person with a caring and nurturing spirit. She had a way of making you feel loved just with a hug or her kind words. Whenever someone was in need she would always lend a hand no matter who it was. One of her favorite things to do was gather the family together, cook and have a good time. Theresa was known as “momma” to alot of people.

Theresa leaves to cherish her memory: her mother, Laura Jackson. Her daughters Shanika Murrell, Tyra Mitchell and Tiera Mitchell. Her fiance Arthur Davis(Tommy). Grandkids ShaNiya, Damauri, Amir, Amauri, Amoni, DaKari and Amyilah, Her sisters Marsha Dawson and Tammy Coleman(Michael). Her brothers Kevin Jackson(Regina), Vince Jackson and Latroy Terrell(Anita). A host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends
