Thomas R. Gann, 62, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, November 23 after a three year courageous fight with cancer.
Tom was born in New Castle November 29, 1953. He graduated from Madison Heights in 1972. He retired from Anderson Street Department after 34 years of service. He was a member of Union 1913, an avid IU basketball fan, and a volunteer for Muscular Dystrophy.
Surviving Tom are his loving wife, Carmen; daughters, Fawn Achenbach, Daphne Gann and Pamela Gann; granddaughter, Hannah Achenbach; sisters,Connie (Ron) Jones and Terry (Ron) Starrett; brothers, Tony Solomon and Everett Solomon; in-laws, Lou Ann and Dennis Anderson and Barbara Murdock; special niece, Chrissy Anderson; many loving nieces, nephews and cousins; step-father,Larry Fugett; and friends, Rick Streaty, James Davenport, and Jody Huntsman.
Tom was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Fugett;father, Tom Solomon; grandparents, Lawrence and Edith Solomon and Martha andClaude Marsh; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Barbara and Melvin Belt; niece,Tori Anderson; and special friend, Fred Steffler.
The family thanks the angels at Community Cancer Centerand Community Home Health nurses, and especially Dr. Siddiqui and Jolynn Vezafor making his last wish come true.

Service of Remembrance will be Saturday, December 3, at11:00 at Faith Church with Pastor Carl Lamb presiding. Visitation at 10am on Saturday, also at the church. Burial will take place at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery at later date. Arrangements provided by Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services - Anderson.
