Thomas "Tommy" Van Duyn, born on November 16, 1971, in Anderson, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on November 21, 2024, in Indianapolis, Indiana. 

A proud graduate of the Madison Heights High School Class of 1992, Tommy carried the values learned during his formative years into every aspect of his life. He was undeniably one of a kind—known for his generosity and willingness to help others, often described as someone who would give you the clothes off his back. His wit and humor added a vibrant touch to the lives of those around him, ensuring that he was not only a colleague but a cherished friend.

He was a dedicated professional in the plasma industry, where he devoted over 25 years of his career, showcasing his extensive knowledge and exceptional work ethic. Tommy was not only known for his hard work but was also recognized by his peers for his ambition and intelligence, making significant contributions to his field.

Beyond his professional life, Tommy had a passion for entertainment, frequently indulging in new movies and exploring the ever-evolving landscape of music. His adventurous spirit in discovering new artistic expressions reflected his dynamic personality.

Tommy is survived by his father Thomas Van Duyn Sr.; siblings Tony Van Duyn, Joey Van Duyn, Michael Van Duyn, and Harley Van Duyn; nieces Kalea Kelly and Charlotte Van Duyn; great nieces and nephews Kiryn Patterson. Gage Patterson, Hadleigh Patterson, and Aria Darcey; uncle Kevin O'Bryant (Missy); cousins Troy, Holly, and Phillip; best friends Kari Bunten and Rachel Raine. 

He is preceded in death by his mother Pamela Boram and brothers Shane Boram and Alvin Van Duyn, Stepfather Steve Boram, Aunt Penny O'Bryant and Grandmother Lucille Holden O'Bryant.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday December 5, 2024, from 12-2pm with a Memorial Service beginning at 2pm at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Services - Anderson. 

Tommy is remembered for the indelible impact he made on both his profession and the personal lives of those who were fortunate to know him. His legacy will live on in the fond memories of friends and colleagues who admired his character and dedication.
