Timothy W. Boerner passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by family and friends. His gentle spirit and kind heart touched everyone who knew him.
Tim dedicated 30 years of service to Delco Remy before retiring in 2000. After retirement, he embraced his love for golf, spending nearly every day on the course with his buddy, Earl Bolander, until he was no longer able to play. Tim was also an avid bowler, participating in numerous leagues over the years, and his passion for sports extended to being a devoted fan of the Indianapolis Colts, Indiana Pacers, Chicago Cubs, and NASCAR. If there wasn't a game on, chances are he was enjoying a movie he'd watched a hundred times.
Known for his friendly nature, Tim never met a stranger and had no enemies. His warmth and easygoing personality left a lasting impact on all who crossed his path.
Tim is survived by his daughter, Lisa Boerner; grandson, Brandon Gritzmacher; great-grandson, Aiden Boerner; sisters, Pam Boerner and Judy Bess; brother-in-law, Bruce Haynes; and his special friend, Penny Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Betty Boerner; his sister, Susan Haynes; and his grandson, Brock Boerner.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Paradigm Hospice and Alisa Wheeler, for their compassionate care as well as to neighbors Cory and Nichel Moore and their children—Colton, Jackson, Hayley, and Abby—for their kindness and support.
Tim's legacy of kindness, love for life, and unwavering loyalty to family and friends will be forever remembered and deeply missed.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd, 2025 from 1pm to 4pm at Legacy Funeral Home.
