Timothy “Tim” Joe Boling, 66, of Indianapolis, passed away on May 30, 2022. He was born on April 3, 1956, in Evansville, IN. Tim was raised in Booneville and Mt. Vernon, IN with his siblings by his mother, Loretta Boling-Smith. He graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 1974. Tim worked as a welder for bridge construction at P. H. Drew for 20 years. Recently, he worked at The Department of Public Works. Tim was a member of Unity of Indianapolis Church and The Blended Church.
Tim loved anything to do with racing, including attending the NHRA nationals every year. Tim liked to watch NASCAR and IndyCar, and attended this year’s Indy 500. Tim made friends everywhere he went, including wait staff at restaurants. Tim also enjoyed fishing and going to state parks.
He is preceded in death by his father, Donald Moorman and brother, Francis “Baby Frank” Smith.
Tim is survived by his wife of 8 years, Michelle “Shelly” (Hall) Boling; step children Austin and Aubrey Bowser and no children of his own.
Mother, Loretta Smith; Siblings, Twanette (Lee) Fountain, Twyresa Bibbs, Twanna Doherty, and Steven Moorman; Nephews, Terron and Tyler Bibbs; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
There will be three Celebrations of Life:
Saturday 6/4: Indian Lake across from 6525 Nantahala Dr, Lawrence, IN. (Do not park at residences) 3-4 pm.
Sunday 6/5: Ritchey Woods Nature Preserve (10410 Hague Road, Fishers, IN 46038) from 4-8 pm.
The 3rd will be in Mt. Vernon, IN and will be updated at a later time.
