Muncie, Indiana

Titus Lee Lawler Sr. beloved father, brother, uncle, pawpa, and to his friends (Tidy Bo), age 69 departed this life on April 23, 2020. Titus was born on May 20, 1951 in Anderson, IN to Elbert & Katherine Lawler. He attended Highland High School and at the age of 17 joined the Army. His military tour of duty was served bravely during the Vietnam War. Upon returning from duty he became a resident of Muncie, IN and retired from Borg Warner Gear after 22 years of service.

Titus loved the Sci-Fi channel, fishing and just hanging with his many friends……Mr. KiKi and longtime friend Butch. Uncle Tidy Bo always had a joke or prank for his many nieces and nephews and lets not forget bunny ears for his sisters! He found great pleasure in attending sporting events with his son Titus Jr. and visiting his daughter Thuy in North Carolina. He loved his church family and found great solace in being a devoted trustee member of Calvary Baptist Church of Muncie, IN.

Awaiting his homecoming are; his Parents Elbert and Katherine Lawler; Brothers Bartholomew Lawler Sr. and Matthew Lawler; Sisters Ruby Debro, Mary “Mae” Lawler and Eula Welch (recently departed April 27, 2020) and Sister-in-Laws Mae Edith Lawler and Shirley Smith.

Titus leaves to cherish his memory his beloved Daughter Thuy Lawler of Greenbelt, MD and Son Titus Lawler, Jr. of Anderson IN; Grandchildren Tyviontre Lawler and Nakiyah Lawler of Anderson, IN and Keino Ryan II of Greenbelt, MD. Titus is also survived by his Sister Ruth Joan Britt and Brother in Law Ronald “Vern” Fernatt of Muncie, IN and Brother Timothy Lawler of Anderson IN; Companion Hattie Greer; Friends Arthur “Butch” Welch and Wayne “KiKi” Harris and his many nieces and nephew residing in Anderson, Muncie,and Indianapolis IN, Georgia and California.

An announcement will be posted with Calvary Baptist Church for the Celebration of Life Service when social and travel restrictions are lifted. Condolences can be forwarded to Thuy Lawler 213 Lakeside Dr. Apt 201, Greenbelt MD 20770.
