Trent M. Pickett

January 28, 1976 — April 2, 2025

Anderson

Trent M. Pickett, born on January 28, 1976, in Anderson, Indiana, went to be with Jesus on April 2, 2025, with his wife and mother right by his side. He lived a life characterized by generosity, kindness, and a deep commitment to his family.

By trade, Trent was an electrician, but throughout his life, he held many different jobs, showcasing his versatility and strong work ethic. Those who knew him would describe his personality as loving like a big teddy bear, and he was known for his orneriness, loyalty, and kindness. Trent had a heart of gold, always ready to help anyone in need; he would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation. He was especially proud of his faith and would stop to pray with anyone who desired it.

Trent cherished his roles as a grandfather and took great joy in spoiling his grandchildren whenever he could. He also enjoyed spending leisurely moments sitting on the porch, watching storms roll in, which provided him a sense of peace and reflection. Trent treasured the love he had with his wife Jamie and was so proud to be married to her.

His hobbies included playing pool and cards, and he had a passion for music, often listening to tunes that invigorated his spirit. He could tell you who sang what song or by what group by the vaguest description. He found joy in cooking and was always eager to try new recipes, reflecting his adventurous side. Trent hated painting but he was amazing at it and always was a perfectionist when it came to any project he did around the house.

Trent is survived by his loving wife Jamie Pickett; children Shelby, Katie, Hanna (Silas), Jason (Samantha), Katelyn, David (Haley); fur babies Maggie Mae and Scrappy Doo; grandchildren Rikky and Paisley; fur grandbabies Arlo Kane and Abel Klyde; honorary grandbabies Emma "Thug", Alejandro "Little Man", and Korra Jean "Little Jean."; parents Thomas and Janice Pickett; brothers Tim Pickett (Nancy) and Troy Pickett; best friends Nikki and Clinton; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Trent was a proud organ donor and with his passing he was able to help save countless lives. His heart, and kidneys were donated to help save several people in need. They are sending his lungs, liver, and pancreas to the University of Michigan to help research Pulmonary Fibrosis in hopes that it will save another family from having to go through this illness.

He is preceded in death by his brother Todd Pickett; nephew Jeremy Pickett; both maternal and paternal grandparents; Uncle Charles and Aunt Linda; Uncle Bruce, Uncle Paul; Uncle Bill and Aunt Judy; sisters-in-law Cherie and Angie; and mother and father-in-law Cheryl and Edward Rodeman.

Trent will be deeply missed, having made lasting memories and a profound impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Friends and family are invited to celebrate his life during visitation on April 9, 2025, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:30 PM.
