Tressie Wilma Mcintyre

Tressie Wilma McIntyre, age 90, of Anderson, passed away on January 7, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was born on March 10, 1928 to the late Garnet and Elizabeth Walker.

Tressie was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend. She was friendly to everyone she came around and lit up the room when she was in it. She was a sincere individual and an extremely hard worker. She loved to spend her time outdoors, doing housework, and especially loved to sew. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Tressie is survived by her children Carol Kinley (James), Jeanita Janes (Bill), and Beverly Locke (Greg); Grandchildren Todd Snyder (Amy), Brian Janes (Stacey), Shelly Gray, Beau Winans (Crista), and Mickey Winans (Kiy La); Great-Grandchildren Ryley Snyder, Rachael Snyder, Bodie Janes, Julionna Gray, Montana Lemley, Nicholas Gray, Mickala Winans, Keira Winans, Ty Winans, and MJ Winans.

She is preceded in death by her late husband of 65 years, Fred McIntyre, her parents, siblings GC Walker, Jessie Kylie Walker, and Cora Lee McIntyre.

A visitation will be held on Friday January 11, 2019 from 10am-12pm at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service – Anderson. A funeral service will follow at 12pm. Burial will take place at Maplewood Cemetery in Anderson.
