Vearl Leroy "Beck" Beckham

Vearl Leroy “Beck” Beckham, age 77, of Anderson, passed away on September 18, 2020 at St. Vincent Anderson. He was born on May 14, 1943 to the late Albert and Aileene Beckham.

Beck was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He loved his grandchildren more than anything and was always spending time with his family. He was a member of the Army National Guard, then later retired from GM after 38 years. If he wasn’t at the Muncie Drag strip, you could find him either working on cars or watching the game show network. He was witty, always laughing and making jokes with his friends. He was a funny, loving man who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Beck is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Sandra  (Bryant) Beckham; children Stacey Gilman (Ronald Whited) and Tom Beckham (Debbie); grandchildren Josh Gilman, Jaelin Gilman (Nathan Hiday), Aaron Rockey, Cassie Razor, and Kayla Rowan (Dayton Stigall); great-granddaughter Delilah Peart; siblings Albert Fred Beckham, Wanda Branham, and Sharon Newberry; and special friends Dave Cave, Jonice McCord (Wayne), and Frank Patterson.

He is preceded in death by his parents listed above; 2 siblings, and grandchild Dominic Jo Beckham.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 from 12-2pm with a funeral service beginning at 2pm at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service – Anderson. Pastor John Hackney will be officiating.
