Vera Louise Thomas was born on Aug 7, 1936 in Muncie, IN to Lillie Mae Amos-Williams and Leonard W. Williams. She attended Blaine Elementary and Junior High School in Muncie, IN. Vera was a Homemaker and a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, minister, and friend. Vera was serious about her work for the Lord, she loved sharing her knowledge about the bible, she was a woman of many interests who aspired to be both knowledgeable and proficient in the word of God. She began her ministry at the age of nineteen and became an ordained minister. Vera founded a church in 1974, where she had faithfully taught and preached at the Holy Spirit Church located on Centennial St. in Muncie, IN. Vera also taught out of her home. Vera has reached many people throughout her life as a Pastor and she loved the Lord Jesus Christ and spreading the word of God to everyone that she came into contact with.
Vera L. Williams-Thomas married Frank E. Thomas on June 28, 1952 and out of their union they bore 5 children. Frank E. Thomas preceded Vera in death after 45 years of marriage. She leaves to cherish her memories: A daughter Nekoda Thomas, a son William L. Thomas (Vernell), both of Muncie, IN, 17 Grandchildren: James D. Thomas, Tameka Alexander, Danyelle Stewart(Doug), Jasmine Hudgins (Barry), Carisha Gilmore, Kiara Miller, Whitney Crumes and Ciara Crumes, all of Indianapolis, IN Taeron Thomas (Betsy), Safire Thomas, William Wright (Misty) of Muncie Indiana, Paqueshia Baxter (Tim) Clarksville, TN Solreah Debouse, of Denver, Colorado, Brandyn Miller- Thomas of Muncie, IN, Chakinah Thomas Bristol, TN. 27 Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews family and friends
Vera was preceded in death by her parents Leonard & Lillie Mae Amos-Williams, husband Frank E. Thomas, Daughter’s Rachelle Thomas & Stephanie Crumes, Son Frankie Thomas, granddaughter Carisha Thomas, grandson Richard Thomas, step-daughter Edith Thomas, great granddaughter Erykah Green. Sister’s Frances Baker, Goldie Williams-Jackson, Annabelle Pointer, Ruth Hughes, Emma Jean Williams-Ashley and brother Robert Williams, great nephew Terrie McThaul
