Verla Ann Adams

Verla Ann Adams service will be held on March 22, 2019 at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Home on 1604 W. Morris St., Indianapolis, Indiana from 1:00 pm to 400 pm. She will be cremated after services.

Verla was a wonderful person. She had a great life, enjoying many things most of all spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed such things as reading a good book, traveling, making jewelry, music, planting beautiful flowers in her yard, her pets, working, and other activities. Verla will be so missed in this world. We lost our best friend when God called her home.

Verla’s current job was working in real estate, she loved looking at different homes picturing how the home would look when a family moved in. She didn’t sell houses she sold homes. Verla was the director of Youth Job Preparedness Program (YJPP) for several years helping many youth.

Verla Ann Adams passed away on March 17, 2019, peacefully at home. She is survived by her husband Herman Adams of 46 years and her 3 daughters Angela Lasley, Amy Watts, and Amanda (Gary) Bennett. Verla is also survived by her father Jerry A. Long, sisters Loretta (Mike) Byers, Darlene Long, and her brother Dennis (Jaime) Long. Verla has 10 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

Verla was preceded in death by her mother Janet Mae Long and brother Larry Lee Long.

Verla will be deeply missed, we loved her very much. She was a daughter, sister, wife, mom and nana.
